There are so many ways that people have fun, but some of the things that people choose for entertainment are dangerous and some people have actually died doing them. Use caution or you could too.
This activity is actually illegal in many parts of the world because the jumps are short enough that you won’t have time to deploy a second parachute if the first one fails.
Because you don’t wear a parachute or other safety gear, hang gliding is considered one of the most dangerous recreational activities around.
Free Solo Climbing
Not only do you do this alone, but you do so without any harnesses or other safety gear. Many people are successful, but a fall can certainly kill you.
To do this recreational activity, you must first jump from a helicopter hovering over the ski run, then get safely to the bottom of the run.
Running with the Bulls
This yearly event draws many, many runners, but if you aren’t fast enough, you could be gored by a bull and killed.
Big Wave Surfing
When you surf waves that are over 50 feet, you run the risk of encountering sharks or being crushed and drowned by the waves.
Wing Suit Flying
This is sort of like skydiving, but involves a large amount of free fall, which can lead to death if not done properly.
Unlike a simple a hike through the woods, true mountain climbing often occurs off trails and can be quite dangerous if you get lost or injured and are hard to reach if you need help.
Experts estimate that up to 1,000 people die each year while doing recreational boating. Most of the time, this is due to extreme weather conditions and failing to wear a life jacket.
Going way down into the water has a lot of risk because if your equipment fails, you may not be able to get back to the surface before you are in trouble.
